The Whistle Stop Cafe

Juliette is the location of the world-famous Whistle Stop Cafe - home Fried Green Tomatoes and the site chosen to film the hit movie of the same name.  The village is colorfully sprinkled with a historic grist mill, whistle-blowing trains, antique shops, gift shops, and great southern cooking.

Juliette and Jarrell Plantation

Only 12 miles east of Forsyth, browse the charming antique and gift shops of Juliette, stroll through the scenic community with its historic grist mill and whistle-blowing trains, and, of course, taste those fried green tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe.  Later, explore the nearby Jarrell Plantation Historic Site, an 1847 cotton plantation now preserved and open to the public.

The Old Mill Motorcycle Museum

Juliette's old grist mill is now home to more than 20 vintage motorcycles lovingly restored by Les White.  The motorcycles range in age from the 1930s to 1960s.  Eight bikes claimed "winners' circle" status - a coveted prize from the Antique Motorcyle Club of America.

Lake Juliette and Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area

Just minutes from Juliette, enjoy a relaxing afternoon fishing on a 3,600-acre lake dedicated to sport.  Surrounding Lake Juliette is the 6,000-acre Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area, offering hunting in season, as well as fishing and camping in certain areas.

Twin Oaks Fun Farm

Pack a picnic and spend a day Twin Oaks Fun Farm, located at I-75 at Exit 193, Johnstonville Road, near Forsyth. The farm's amenities include a pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, playscape adventure equipment, and a commercial grill. During strawberry season (mid-March through June), you can even pick your own strawberries, and ice cream, strawberry cider, jams and jellies are available for purchase.

Rocky Creek ATV Trail


If you like the adrenaline rush of riding all-terrain vehicles through an obstacle course, you will love Rocky Creek ATV Trail!  This facility's 20 miles of dirt trails through woods, creeks, fields, and pastures promise the ultimate in off-the-road ATV pleasure riding (complete with mud, jumps, creeks, bridges, and more).  Rocky Creek, located at 4637 Georgia Highway 341 in Culloden, is open year-round, rain or shine.

High Falls State Park

Fish, boat, or lounge along the banks of a sparkling 700-acre lake at this refreshing state park only 12 miles north of Forsyth.  Be entranced by a dramatic waterfall on the Towaliga River or explore scenic hiking trails leading to the runs of an 1880s grist mill.

Indian Springs State Park and Dauset Trails Nature Center

Indian Springs State Park is only 20 miles north of Forsyth off I-75. Sample the spring waters that the Creek Indians used for centuries to heal the sick and impart extra vigor to the healthy.  Enjoy the park's cottages, camping, swimming, fishing, and boating.

Only five minutes from Indian Springs is the Dauset Trails Nature Center, 1,200 acres of scenic woods, fields, creeks and lakes, farm animals and native live animals (hawks, owls, raccoons, bison, bobcats and more).  Hike and bike 17 miles of trails.
